A press officer said the commission said it would release 'some numbers' on the allocations after studying a number of submitted national allocation plans.
'We are looking at the 19 we have,' she said.
EU member state governments are working towards a phase two EU emissions trading scheme 2008-2012 in a bid to cut carbon pollution and the release of greenhouse gases.
